Mrs. Carol Anne Schmeisser Davies, of Johnson City, TN, died Wednesday, October 26, 2011, at the home of her sister, Nancy Beuttel, of Boone. Mrs. Davies was born in 1944 in Richmond, IN, the daughter of the late Bill and Delia Schmeisser. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree and R.N. from Florida State University in 1966. She was active as a nurse her whole life beginning as a nursing instructor in Miami, FL in 1967. She also enjoyed patient care as a floor nurse at South Miami Hospital where she served as a CCU nurse as well as nurse on the surgical floor. After moving to McMinnville, TN, she ended her career doing home health. She was always active in the Methodist Church and was a member of Wesley Methodist in Johnson City.

Mrs. Davies is survived by her sister, Nancy Beuttell and husband, Hank of Boone, NC; her nephew, John Beuttel and his daughter, Lauren, both of Boone. She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband, George Davies.
