I went into the National Teacher Corps in Atlanta with MLK associates. My Directing teacher was, JEAN CHILDS YOUNG, Reverend Andrew Young's wife, who later became appointed, Chairman, for International Year of the Child(UNESCO). I lived in Santiago de Compostela, Spain for a couple of years along with stays in Mineral Wells, Texas, Los Angeles, Savannah (Tybee Island), and Cleveland, where I earned the distinction of becoming the second woman in the US for completing a union (Local 33) apprenticeship for sheetmetal. I was economically motivated after a divorce. I have lived in the WPB & Stuart area since 1984. I have many Degrees, the gamet in Education, and a minor in Community Organization. U of Miami, U of Georgia, Georgia State, FAU, Barry College, Framingham State University, and finally, one of my favorite, Indian River State College. I have taught every subject from College Early Childhood PHYS ED, Pre K, Headstart, 1-6, to 9th grade Sheetmetal & Intensive Reading. I am substituting now & would like to do more. I have two sons, Richard Pego, a teacher(LA), & semi-professional cyclist, and Brett a construction worker.
