University of Miami

Upon graduation I went to the University of Miami and then to Pratt Institute in New York. I lived for over 15 years in Puerto Rico where I practiced Interior Design.

In 1980 we moved back to Miami. I worked as a designer in the architectural firm of Spillis Candela and Partner and taught at the Florida International School of Architecture.

Since I retired in 2008 I have been teaching Interior Design at the University of Miami.

I was married to Enrique Balestrini who died in 2008. I live a few blocks away from the Coral Gables High School so the memories of my time there are constantly being renewed.
