Have been married for 36 years. We have 2 daughters and twin grand daughters age 6. After graduating from Florida, I coached at several Florida high schools. I was blessed to coach in college as an assistant at the University of Florida, Florida A&M, the Air Force Academy, University of Arkansas, and then became head coach at Rice, then Duke University. National Coach of the Year in 1992 by Sports Illustrated, and received the Bobby Dodd National Coach of the Year in 1994, and also ACC Coach of the year. Cherished most was being inducted into the Coral Gables Hall of Fame along with my friend Jack Card. We now have settled in Franklin, North Carolina where we have relatives, and have spent many years vacationing. I was asked to coach the local high school team, and enjoyed winning the conference championship of the Asheville area schools. We enjoy living here, have a great church family, and couldn't ask for a better life.
