MITCHELL FRIEDMAN

Mitchell died in 2003 at the age of 58.

Mitchell's Biography written in 2002:

Professor of Medicine - Tulane University

I graduated from the University of Miami School of Medicine in 1969 and then trained in internal medicine, pulmonary diseases and critical care medicine with a sojourn in the army at Ft. Sill. Following this I was recruited to the faculty at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in 1976. In 1992, I was recruited to be the Edward Schleider Professor of Pulmonary Diseases and Chief of the Section of Pulmonary Diseases, Critical Care and Environmental Medicine at Tulane University in New Orleans. I also direct a MPH program in clinical research.

I have just celebrated my 31st wedding anniversary. I have 2 sons: Daniel who is a medical resident at the Mayo Clinic and Philip who will be getting a combined JD/MBA from Tulane in January and then hopefully a job. Every time I come back to South Florida I drive through the Gables and still am amazed at how it has maintained its beauty.
