After graduating from the University of Miami in 1968, I taught special education classes in Miami, Ft. Lauderdale and ultimately Atlanta, Georgia. Moving into the corporate world, I worked for Southern Bell Telephone, AT&T and Hayes Microcomputer as a Technical Trainer and Training Manager.
Thanks to Shannon O'Dea Hudson (Class of '62) I was reunited with and married my high school sweetheart, Jim Martindale, in 1993. Between us we have five children, all of them above average, and eleven lively grandchildren. What a joy to be a part of their lives!
We retired to the mountains of northeast Georgia in 2001, where we are active in local politics, music festivals, and community activities. We enjoy photography and travel the world capturing scenery and wildlife with our cameras. We own three "road dogs" of indiscriminate breeding and several formerly stray cats. Though we reside in a small city, there are plenty of other critters in the woods around our home. We have a good balance of urban and rural living, and life is good!
